Meet Magen

Magen has been working with animals and their people for over 30 years, and it’s still her favorite thing to do. She’s known for her big heart, calm presence, and deep love for animals of all kinds.

She lives in Belleville, where she’s been part of the same tight-knit neighborhood for over 40 years. At home, things are never quiet. Magen shares her life with three Keeshonds (Pyro, Riot, and Sunny), six cats, and three rabbits, including Momma, a foster who gave birth to 11 babies right in her living room (she kept two of them!).

Magen also fosters Keeshonds, volunteers with the local daycare board, and leads Keeshond Rescue Ontario Inc. Watching foster dogs grow and thrive is one of the most rewarding parts of her life. Over the years, she’s also enjoyed showing dogs in conformation, obedience, and even some agility. Her latest puppy is already lined up to join the fun.

For Magen, it’s all about connection, helping people, helping pets, and being part of a community that cares.
